My Rock, My Blanket

A poem for one of my best friends.

You are my rock,
Keeping me from being swept away,
As the river of my mind rages,
I hold tight to you.

You are my rock,
Strong and tough,
Sheltering me from the rains,
As the storm hits me within.

You are my blanket,
Always there when I am cold,
Wrapping me with love,
When I need it most.

You are my blanket,
There for me to hold,
When I need security,
You keep me safe and warm.
