Overprotective parent?

Voice of the Voiceless

I tried to run, but I cannot hide
Anything just to get out but I'm kept inside
For youth I am and woe is me
I pray for freedom to let me free
But with the eagle choked
And the flag in ashes
My face is soaked
And at home is clashes
Freedom don't give up for I still need thee
And I will wait eternally
