It's therapeutic to
touch you, my
huge rabbit's
foot, furry
worry stone. My
fingers ride
your spine to
the crest between
your ears. I knead
your fur absently.
And you? You
lathe a trail across
table and
chair, supplanting
less bouyant
items in your
path. What about
you? Amber
eyes squint into
mine. Contentment? You're
not saying.
