THROUGH THE EYES OF GOD

Have you ever seen the world through the eyes of God?

Have you ever seen the world
Through the eyes of God?
Have you ever felt the love
He has to give?
In the evening, I look to the stars
For He is there.
In the morning, I awake
To the sound of birds singing;
He is there.
The ripple of a brook,
The first flowers of Spring -
Sunlight, starlight and rainbows
He does good work, doesn't He?
There is so much beauty
In this world, if we could only
Look at it through the eyes of God.
He is the tear in a mother's eye
As she nurses her firstborn;
He is the song of angels
A melody so sweet and simple
With the message "I care for you!"
There is the old woman lying alone
In a hospital room,
Serenity on her face, praying silently
For He is there, and listens.
In His eyes we are beautiful,
Our body a temple, we are created
In his image.
And if we are very, very lucky
In our lifetime -
We can learn to see
Through the eyes of God.
