Virtual Reality

Many Americans have relegated their children's care to the tv.

Plight of children
lesson learned;
Mom is busy
love is spurned.

Moving image
hook me in
lose me where
they can't come in.

My family is the
one in there
where Dad is home
and Mom will care.

It's true they
cannot hold me tight
and tell me everything's
allright.

I understand,
like Dad and Mom
they're not trying to be mean
They just can't leave the screen.
