This is a FICTIONAL piece for the Writer's Cramp, and my best attempt at the prompt. |
| This is the story of a major betrayal, and the downfall of the President, amid the betrayal. It all started about 2 weeks ago, when the war with the Middle East started. The President claimed that he had “everything under control,” but that just wasn’t the case. Something more scandalous was brewing. While tensions are high, and things seem to be escalating, the Vice President, has been up to no good, and has a BIG secret up his sleeve. At a first glance, he seems loyal to the President, and willing to do whatever it takes to help figure out a way to cease fire before too many lives are lost, but when you take the time to look deeper, he is the primary reason why the war is escalating. He has been leaking information to the Middle East, and making up lies to fuel their anger to keep things going. This actually began way before the war even started. And to make it worse…. He’s having an affair with someone who has orchestrated the war against the United States! The Vice President is a traitor, and has turned his back on his country. The sad thing is, he hates the country and instead of leaving, he would rather see bloodshed, but he is using the President as a cover up for his own indiscretions! We thought that we would be able to count on the 2 of them to work together and protect the nation, but the only thing that he cares about his himself. He doesn’t care if he gets taken down, but he plans to bring us all with him. The moment that this all started, we were sentenced to doom, for a lack of better words. Anyway, as all this was going on, under the President’s nose, and what no one realized, is that it was about to all come crashing down. One day, the Vice President’s mistress had to go back to the Middle East to try to orchestrate a peace meeting, and she tried to talk him into going but he declined. He said that “It would look too suspicious.” Reluctantly, she agreed to go, and unfortunately two days later, she was among the several innocent people that were gunned down. Well, the Vice President found out about it, and it infuriated him, so he lashed out. He went on the air, and told a lot of lies about what the President had “supposedly” done, and swore that it was true and to the best of his knowledge. As a result of this, on March 13th, the President of the United States, got kicked out of the office. Naming the Vice President, as the next person to take charge in his place. Which is ultimately what his goal was in the long run. Two days later, the morning of March 15th, it was broadcast on national news that the former President was assassinated outside of his home. A short-lived time in office, and an even shorter one lived on earth. All due to someone who wanted to be in charge, and was willing to do whatever it took to get there. No many how many innocent lives were lost in the process. |
