Cracking Chains

God reached amid the storm to crack each chain.

Beneath the storm a light shines through,
Piercing heavy darkness, breaking,
Breathing life to this heart anew,
Cracking chains and overtaking.

Darkness dispelled, His arms surround,
Transforming old to a life renewed,
Through His blood His grace abounds,
Sparking change in one pursued.

Waiting in this moment now,
His heart beats beneath this listening ear.
Only rest will He allow,
Banishing each and every fear.
