Blessings in Baggage

Two mistakes make a right!

Those aren't my pajamas!
That is not my dress!
And everything is neatly folded
My luggage was a mess!

Whose books are these?
They're by my favourite author
And here's a photo signed
By a guy who couldn't be hotter!

How do I find out who
Owns this suitcase that I took?
Ah - here's a zippered section
Let me open it and look!

Papers - magazines and
HEY! This looks familiar
It's an old school report and
It's dated my 'class-of' year!

Oh I found a name
Goodness - can it be true?
I'd lost touch with her
Now here she is out of the blue!

My best friend who moved away
And we stopped communicating
But I've thought of her so often
And now - no more waiting!

I pick up my cell phone to dial
To find that it is beeping
From the caller profile
A familiar face is peeping.

"Is it really you? I have your bag!"
We both yell in chorus
And then giggle long and hard
'Twas a lucky mistake for us!

Now we're back in touch
And - being very wise -
We know the silly mistake was
A blessing in disguise!
