Thank you for always being there

Thank You for always being there
Even the times I accused you of being unfair
That was in the beginning when I hardly knew You
Before I spread my wings into skies of blue
I was just a young eagle learning to fly
All I needed was Your gentle push to soar so very high
I've never been the type with that many friends
Something that always made my spirit descend
But now it doesn't bother me
For now I see
You're the perfect kind of friend
The One on which I can truly depend
I eagerly wait for the day to be where i belong
Going home and praising You in worship song
I'll do my job while I'm here on earth
Helping others to share in this wonderful rebirth
Thank You for always being there
For teaching me with the deepest level of care
