A poem about my salvation experience

I first asked Jesus into my heart at age three.
My daddy got to baptize some family with me.
My grandma and two uncles proudly went before.
Excitedly and nervously, my baptismal robe I wore.

When it was done, into my Grandma's arms I ran.
I informed her, "I am never doing that again!"
Some people in the church thought I was too young.
But with my dad, my baptismal fate was done.

I rededicated my life several times through the years.
My attitude and sins caused some salvation fears.
My heart still wasn't right with God.
Some people may find this very odd.

It wasn't until I was an adult that I truly fell in love
With Jesus my savior given to me from up above.
Now my biggest fear is to be separated from him.
I hope that the light shining from me isn't dim.

Now I read my Bible and pray every day
On my life's path, Jesus now leads the way.
He is my God and everything to me.
I am now surely saved and from sin set free!
