When Everything Comes to an End |
| The Longest Day The wind gently swept over seas of green Rain fell upon the the earth with a soft pitter-patter The sunset was the most glorious to ever be seen The sounds of all waking to the morning light Were truly wondrous because there would be no more Although no one would survive to the night Everything living creature now or from before Was nothing more than a darkened void No one to remember, it was truly nevermore When all was done there was nothing left No more songs to sing, no hearts beating fast No one to mourn, not a soul was bereft The quiet was beyond anything anyone has heard And darker then the deepest void In this universe of loss, nothingness was now employed Who is there to remember? Who is there to mourn? A vast, emptiness of space where time has come to an end A place where not even a star can be borne For all has ended without even a sound of a horn |
