A poem about a warrior mustering the courage within to face internal and external problems |
| The Spark Within by M. Lowery Four seasons pass, Enemies rise to meet me In fields, quarries, forests. Oh, what a great mass! I ready my sword and shield For a battle heavy and hot. The enemies rush toward me With blade, hammer, and arrow shot. By the Maker, I must face them. Fear shakes my bones Pain threatens to lay me low. But the spark within Urges me on. I must not falter or slow |
