this is a poem dedicated to the lies I have learned over the years from my parents. |
| When I was young my world was perfect; I could see no other way to live that was worth it. As I became older and learned your ways my world was shattered by the lies you gave oh the perfect world that I had built in my mind. came crashing down in exactly no time. I hate that I had to see this first hand from the ones I had modeled to become a good man I had to start from scratch to learn my way to form my own life without your say I raise my daughters as I see fit I am not a perfect father, but I proceed with grit Thank you for all you taught I will use the lessons to ease my thoughts. I love you still no matter what oh the lies you told, have left a deep cut |
