The Window

Express It In Eight (16 Dec 2024). A poetic connection to nature seen through a window.

The Window

Straight ahead lies an ocean of blue
two islands in my peripheral view
closer and taller stretch the coconut palms
with only a breeze ... all is quite calm.

The Hong Kong orchid trees are freshly pruned
safeguarding the view from becoming ruined
I could sit here for hours, just looking out
watching for the whales to breach and spout.
