Different actions of two Christians |
| Parable Two Christians were each accosted by a homeless man who asked them for money. The first Christian remembered, "If a man asked for your cloak give him your shirt also". This first Christian gave the man all the money in his wallet. He rationalized, It is good I had some extra money in my wallet. He could enjoy a meal at an expensive restaurant. The second Christian remembered, "Do not throw pearls before swine." This second Christian ignored the homeless man and walked away. He rationalized. He would probably buy drugs with it. Even if he is hungry, he would not buy the appropriate food. Is he too lazy to work for the money he needs? |
