The Circles Within

The colours on paper

I seek the circles within
the stories
that end where they began

the quarrels
that end in forgiveness
and renewed friendship

the joy
that might bring sadness
and then happiness again

the circles within

My hands
hold the crayon
the pencil
the paintbrush

and the circles within
are now on paper
