My 1st ConVerse poem. It was challenging, yet inspiring to write in an unfamiliar format. |
| Betrothed I had hoped that he would go far from me where it would snow. But little did I know his plans and didn't think to check his hands. He took a ring from a golden box. To me, he looked like a grizzled fox. He caressed my hand and then my finger. I didn't waste time, nor did I linger. Mortified, I stood and stared at him in fear Especially when he dared to call me dear. Con-Verse Poem with aa, bb, cc, dd, ee rhyme scheme and 7,7,8,8,9,9,10,10,11,11 Meter (Not a personal subject, just one that popped into my head) |
