Stick it and it stays

20 years later, it's still there

She wrote a loving letter
On the envelope, the address
And a suitable stamp
In the corner she did press

The letter reached her lover
He gave it a happy kiss
"There will never be one prettier
Than the one who wrote this."

They got engaged, then married
And had a family
And for 20 years
They've been living happily

The letter is still in the desk
Filled with 'darlings' and 'dears'
And the stamp on the envelope
Has been sticking there for 20 years!
