a challenge to just write |
| The Poet's Challenge Hormones mounting, ever raging; Words are aching to be said; Poems screaming to be written; Pages waiting to be read; Hearts are eager to be dreaming; Souls aspiring to write; Memories beg to be recorded; Thoughts are straining to take flight; Death is lurking in the shadows, Tears are waiting to be shed; Muscles tense beneath the trauma; Minds are throbbing at the dread. True love longs to be remembered, And forget the crippling pain; Lovers wish to mend their hearts, So they can dare to love again. Moonbeams seek to stir emotions; Stardust twinkles in the eyes; And a glance inspires dreaming, Under starry, moonlit skies. Muses strive to fill the stillness, Implements desire to dance In the hands of sweet abandon Penning down a wild romance. Now, dear poet, take the challenge; Hone this talent so renown; Feel the waves that spiral through you, Then go write the poem down. JMariah |
