If you take the first letters of today’s prompt, they spell
LABS - as in the dog Labrador..
My dog wasn’t a Lab. She was perhaps an Airedale mix, or what some call an Idaho shag. But whatever her parentage, she was definitely a shaggy, wonderful dog.

Adventurous - chased a bear - stared down a skunk - took 8 mile hikes

Brilliant - always knew when it was time to take a walk - at 8 -12 - 5 - 9 - like clockwork

Lazy - never one to give up a cool spot on the floor on a hot day or curl up next to the fire on a comfy cushion during a frigid night

Spectacular - romp in the field with the balsam root makes for a great photo op or hike twice as many miles, just to check on the slow hiker

But:

We just called her Bonnie.
