The Sky in Her Pocket

where would we send our prayers if there were no sky?

She folded the sky
put it in her pocket,

she wanted to see
if anyone would miss it.

He said, “you are going to have to put that back you know.”

She replied, “I know, but maybe they will notice
without the sky, there is no where to send a prayer,

we need them, regardless of what God you pray to,
we need something to believe in, even if it is just the sky.

Besides, without the sky, we can’t witness the stars
who sacrifice themselves to shine for us.
