A Place Called Home: A Venerable Unity

A Memorial Day poem - God bless our troops.

The nation’s armed forces calls out quietly,
To each and every soul,
With its courageous unity of spirit,
In condemnation of unjust
And atrocious acts.
No cause could be more praiseworthy
And applaudable -
Preserving the freedoms and liberties
Of this distinctive and glorious land…

A Homecoming for the heroes;
Their immense bravery and unquenchable valor;
An unquestioned zeal, and a fire in the belly -
A leadership so honorable and amazing…
And a love for this glorious
And hallowed nation.

The fight for national sovereignty
And scope is more urgent than ever;
The world must unleash a military statement
Of preemptive power and unwavering revelry;

In remembrance of the ambitious souls
Who gave it their all,
In service and dedication
To our nation’s standing and merit,
This Memorial Day…
