A brief poem. Story of a lone astronauts attempt to survive in an alien world |
Don't hear air escaping feel it deflating some part aware of the deadly consequence of having too much drift out there Vastness of space within this alien place feet march in boots made for treading worlds and finding truths Out here, alone the red streak of my partner, now forgotten and gone don't look at his battered remains upon the creature that death did bring Keep running the ship just ahead broken shell of a wreck left for dead inside the tool remains utility for death's reign Upon an alien world creatures with fangs, claws, and teeth unfurled I arrived to bring a new noise a deafening bark to share in their joy of death. |
