An Easter tribute - true devotion to the Lord brings peace - a religious poem. |
| A perilous scope for Christ, Our Savior. Hastened sums of huge disfavor; A horrid slew of gross behavior, Bearings freed by truth and valor. Again, He rose, in flesh appearing. Before their eyes, in awe, so fearing; The Apostles learned by feel and hearing, God’s great fortunes, reappearing! A thankful need, His truth so valiant. Such a forecast proves so brilliant - His noble phrasing - poise resilient; Our Jesus rendered Home reliant… Through the Cross the Son bemoaned, The Mighty Lord exists enthroned; His will displayed, forgiveness owned; Our joyful spirits’ peace lays zoned… A measure not by happenstance - A prayerful kneeling, upward glance - The sinfulness just viewed askance; Our Father’s love seems not by chance. |
