Poem about preacher who preaches righteousness but not right on his own |
| The Preacher I Knew The preacher I knew he preaches the word of faith, I come to you to ease my way with my bounty bag of shame, his preach penetrate into my ache, He said ,"your own redemption lies at your stake". But his words doesn't serve as rake, That wipes away all his and mine mistakes. There's a rumor about you I heard, that your heart is full of red, subtle are your congregation leaving them in maze, I keep asking “are you a saint?” Or a raider that raid, raid your people of their aims, all in the name of traid, holy father, holy son, holy Spirit you claim, full energy on the altar you parade, duration between Monday to Sunday, crowd listen calmly to your sermon on Sunday, akimbo, when you preach not to go astray, but took maiden to your hay, matrimony ladies turns your babes, which of your word could be of faith, when all sheep's put at your aid, are absconding from your yard. What preacher are ye, that preaches word of Jah, but didn't follow His rail, You're to carry our blame, If we all died this way. © Ayobami |
