Dear Blue jay,
So far away today
On your branch so high and once was here to stay
In sight but never in reach
So many things I'd wish you'd come closer to me to teach
So that one day I can fly with you
And join you too
Instead, you fly alone away from life
And from watching you, I've taught myself how to run from my own problems in strife
Now you've gone free and although I've never captured the one I once knew
I want you to know...that I still think of you
