True Thankfulness

just thinking out loud again

What is true thankfulness
Is it a turkey and all the trimmings
Is it a family to sit down and eat with
Is it a parade to be watched on tv
Or is it something much deeper than all of this?

Could it be worth way more than just a day of thanks
Could it be more than about stuffing our face
Could it be more than dealing with relatives that fuss and fight?

Could it be about fellowship with God
Fellowship with ones fellow man
Could it be about getting out of one's self
Giving of ourselves to God ,family and friends!

Worship services and a truly grateful heart
A remembering of all the good times,bad times and everything in between
A thankfulness that goes way beyond just one time a year
A praise that will carry you all throughout the year!


True thankfulness goes way beyond all our planning for a dinner
True thankfulness goes way beyond,family and fun
True thankfulness has to come from within
True thankfulness is a life well lived
Thanksgiving is great if we can really be grateful in a way that comes from within!
