We discussed the Letter from Birmingham Jail recently, this came out of it.

The court said yay, be oppressed.
King said nay, we will not be condemned.
They fought,
yet they lacked weapons.
They had only faith.

The clergymen sent word,
so King replied, retaliated.
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere".
Letters from jail.
An outsider,
is what they labeled him.
Brethren, is what he had called them.

The four steps,
a gathering of facts,
negotiate with the other side.
Purify yourself,
clear your head.
Direct action, the last resort.

Junior,
the second of his name.
A peaceful soul,
a desire for peace.
He stood between two extremes,
wishing for a middle ground.
