No Escape

Voices in my head,
Arguing back and forth;
Real life or fantasy?
Often too confused to tell.


It doesn't matter,
Never really has;
Why is none ever silent?
Hiding doesn't help.


Always been there,
Whispering soothing words;
Do they know I am afraid?
Compelled by their ways.


Many voices within,
Arguing back and forth;
Can I pretend I am normal?
No escape from my reality.
