Poetry about a child asking about the world |
| Dear mommy, Dear Daddy, Who broke the Earth? How come we now just hate for all we're worth? Why do we try and grind others to the dirt? Hide behind our walls of anger and our hurt? Can you please tell me, Who broke the Earth? Dear child, I hate to admit this But we're all at fault for the way this place exists. We've all shouted over the fence at the one's we're told to hate instead of greeting others with a smile and a handshake. We've all taken pleasure in stabbing in the back Those who vote or think differently or just because of the place where they're at. We've all taken glee in the policy of scorched Earth We're all to blame, We're the ones who broke the Earth. |
