A morning walk....fall |
| In sunrise embrace, an early morning walk, Bathed in cooling temperatures, flew by a gentle flock. The last of the hummingbirds, a fleeting sight, In the quiet dawn's hush, they make their grand flight. My grumpy old neighbor, up to no good Oblivious to beauty, totally rude The smell of the campfire that hung in the air Caused my neighbor to display, a sight so rare! I asked, "how you doin" , He flipped me the bird "I hate all you neighbors," that was understood As he shared some choice words, then spun on his heel What happened next, looked like a comedy reel. His feet were in the air, his head hit the ground I hadn't laughed so hard, since the circus was in town As he flopped on the ground, I heard him wheeze "You better hire someone to rake the leaves!" So remember to be friendly, and never be rude And whatever you do, don't say things so crude As my neighbor did, on his fall hard day 'Cause Karma's a beauty, and she'll have the last say. |
