My Lament

Going to God

My heart has sunk into my shoes
I look around and haven't a clue
O Lord please show me what to do
Nothing else matters, only You 🙏

As darkness seeps into my soul
I know that you're still in control
The night as bright as day to Thee
I will not fear, tho' I can't see

You hold my hand, you guide my steps
You never change, You don't forget
You wipe my tears, You dry my eyes
You lift my face unto the skies

Your Holy Word lights up my path
And I no longer fear your wrath
Your tenderness comforts my soul,
When life has taken quite a toll

You calm the storm with your sweet Peace
Into your Hands I now release
All my burdens, my every care
Thy will be done, my only prayer...
