A poem on the ocean and racism |
| Sand deep blue ocean shells and pretty stones clear thought for once my adhd mind silenced waves powerful some almost clear Does not take the sting of who is she? I am what is she doing? just unpacking a computer to study to grow Who does she think she is unbothered by your words? I am me authentically taking up space the ocean still roaring in my mind Not an acknowledgement Not a glance that you see a professional woman my color blinds you to that I sigh and ignore but do I New customers come in voice undulation now high pitch fawning acceptable people to you If you saw my films, my art my work Read my articles? Would it make a difference? My honeymoon my right to autonomy You keep calling over the bosses. You want me us gone but you cant. If you new that I write reviews would you have peeked at my humanity. |
