What Happened?

Is it still happening?

2020 was a year for the entry books.
The world seemed to basically shut down.
It was a gamble to go out, even for necessary items.
People were of two camps, so it seemed.

There were those in the medical field who were so worried,
And there were those die-hard disbelievers who thought it all a hoax.
Even at times there were threat of military intervention,
And all medicinal treatments were useless before this plague.

Then, all of a sudden, it seemed to have vanished, quietly going into the night.
We are still suffering from its aftermath to this day; wondering if it will return.
