| My soul is among the living though I am far from alive; And as I watch them, dreary eyed, repenting for their misgivings, I can do naught more than continue fizzing. Oh! How I yearned to leave them behind! I knew the world was capable of cruelties, but not of this kind! From the moment I went missing, to long after my life was deprived, they have cried! If only I was still living, then I could do much more than sit here fizzing. I am stuck in limbo, confined stuck with the duties of watching the life I abandoned whilst blind... |
