The hidden enemy within

My fears are high like the tide coming in
It is time I sink or swim
My only enemy is within
Shadows coming around the bend
My only enemy is within

My demons hunt and they seep in
But I won't let my demons win
My only enemy is within
I will fight from dusk till dawn
My only enemy is holding on

Cities rise and cities die
My only enemy is left to fry
The time has come to stand up high
It is time for my enemy to finally die

I am strong and I am fierce
It is time to face my many fears
My enemy is holding on
It grips and slips and slides away
Because I know who I am today

I have come far since where I began
Fought the darkness with the demon skin
Tired and scared I moved on
Hoping to rise once again
Now my only enemy is not within!
