The pain of a long distance love affair

This vacant hole

Feelings of elation, euphoria
an inner calm and contentment envelop me
In my soul, I feel complete

But then it leaves
The feeling suspended
It leaves me with a dull ache
A longing I cannot describe
Because you’re not here
The best moments of every day are the ones when you appear
A 4” screen smiling at me
Romancing me -loving me
Then poof-gone again until the next time
I can wait for that time because there’s nothing else in any day that comes close to you❤️
