The owl
Addressed the first parliament
Of animals
On a winter’s day

The owl said
The motion before
The parliament

Was the elimination
Of the human race
As an enemy of nature

At the end of that cold day
In the middle of the winter
The parliament voted

Declaring All humans must die
And the war of nature
Against humanity
Began in earnest

Only cats, dogs
And horses
Voted to save
Humanity.
