And so little time
Left on this planet

He picked up his latest book
A knitting book
Put it down
After a moment

Self-stripping before the mirror
He said
“wow I still have it”

His wife came out
And congratulated him
Maintaining such a positive
Mindset
So early in the morning.

He smiled and finished
His speed reading course
By speed-reading the NYT

While watching CNN
And devouring the news
While drinking hot coffee
