On a hot summer day
When people greet each other
With the ironic phrase
"Is it hot enough for ya?"

There is nothing more satisfying
Than eating ice cream.

And sometimes there is
Nothing better than eating
Plain vanilla ice cream.

That does it for me
Every time the weather
Gets too hot to handle.

But I fear
We may soon
Run out of ice cream
A sad result of both climate change
And supply chain disruptions.
