Oh to be

The beauty of nature vs being but a human.

Oh to be the water -
To ebb and flow naturally,
To ripple and move,
And give life to those who drink.

Oh to be a branch -
To reach out gracefully,
To bear leaves and seeds,
And give the air that we breathe.

Oh to be one flower -
To open up delicately,
To sit in resplendent beauty,
And give off a scent to behold.

But I am a human -
I tread unknowingly,
I consume voraciously,
And give nothing, yet take all.
