20th Anniversary Convention.

An anniversary a long time in coming, 20 years. I am waiting in line to check in to the convention. I can't wait to see who is going to be here. Of course The Storymaster and Storymistress are keynote speakers. Somehow they got Stephen King to speak at the convention too, the master of horror with a bibliography longer than I am tall seems to be appropriate to celebrate a contest that has prompted so much new fiction.

I reach the check-in table and am presented with a writing dot com t-shirt and a writer's cramp anniversary merit badge. Together they alone are worth the cost of admission. There are so many people here and I recognize next to none of the faces. This is so cool. There are so many forums set up in the various rooms of the convention. I am so going to the lecture on character development.

Oooh, there's a booth where you can design your own nametag! I'm on it. I notice some of the people walking away from the nametag booth. There's Lilli, Schnujo, and so many others. I can't wait to get mine done. This is going to be the best weekend!
