Ouroboros

Alchemic poem written using the Pathya Vat form.

the all is one
swallow my tail
covered with scale
world embracing

so always my
path retracing
interlacing
eternally

fulfils roles
maternally
paternally
as the year turns

each season brings
endless returns
the wisest learns
limitations

and reduce their
expectations
aspirations
so rend the veil

This particular poem is designed to cycle, so the last line fulfils the rhyme scheme for the first stanza.

syllabic, each line is 4 syllables
stanzaic, written in any number of quatrains.
rhymed. Rhyme scheme xaab xbbc xccd etc x being unrhymed. Note: A unique chain effect occurs in this rhyme linking the middle lines of subsequent stanzas to the last line of the previous stanza.
