The duality

Some things are easier said than done
Some things are work, some things are fun
Some bring rewards, some bring none
Some achieved slowly, others at a run.

Some things are big and others are small
Some are free, others priced, at the mall.
Some uninvited, others arriving at your call
Some raising you up, others causing a fall.

Some things are blessings, others a curse
Some free, others hard on your purse.
Some secret, others on which you converse,
Some going forward, others in reverse.

Some things are ugly, others pretty
Some in prose, others in poetry.
Some frivolous, others nitty-gritty,
Some stupid, others quite witty.

There are things and things and then some more
Lots to ponder on, lots to ignore
Lots uncertain, lots absolutely sure
Lots tainted, lots completely pure.

So the ones easier said than done
Are the prompt for this competition
I wonder who'll enter, who'll shun
Who'll be serious, who'll pun.

It's easy to say, "the prize is mine"
When someone else, with words sublime
Might take it with story or rhyme
But I've had fun this whole time!
