Fight between your heart and brain

The Fight

In the wee hours of the night
My heart and brain begin their fight
My heart misses you next to me
My brain knows you're not my destiny
My heart keeps you on a pedestal
My brain's much more skeptical
My heart loved how you made her feel
My brain knows the pain's too real
My heart's always sad
My brain's getting more mad
My heart's hanging on the edge of a cliff
My brain knows you're not worth the trip
My heart always wanted you to stay
My brain now wants to see you pay
My heart's turning cold
My brain's looking for a new road
My heart's losing this fight
My brain knows..she's right
