8/7/1974, Philippe Petit walked a high wire between the Twin Towers of World Trade Center

Between Twin Towers, he walked the line
over a thousand feet in the air
bowing at onlookers and passers-by
with a performer's stylish flair.

Eight trips he took within the hour
while performing this aerie feat
and once he descended from the towers
they arrested poor Philippe.
