| Celestial orbs perpetually revolve round galactic center of radiant light. Glowing masses through the atmosphere fall, trail sparkling rooster tails through the twilight. Clouds, like galleons, split the nighttime sky a splash of gray on the inky background and with a soundless sigh they float on by sailing on toward their next battleground. Stars incandescent in their empyreal domain against velvety darkness of night enraptured by the heavens, I remain immersed in enchanted moonlight. Mesmerizing poets since times of yore, mercurial queen of tide and sea. None can withstand her romantic allure as the world softens within her beams. About this poem: ▶︎ |
