The future you promised
Appeared to be so real
Of our life together, so perfect
You said we were meant to be

Now you've turned black
You've turned away from me
Lies and your broken promise
Have left me in a state of disarray

You said I was the one
And you appear to (still) want me so
But it's your promise full of lies
That have been sleeping with my mind

(It was your broken promise
Which falsely led me to believe in you).
