An aural experience of nature

Wildlife calls
as darkness falls
lull me into slumber.

Permeating my dreams
are axis screams
and cicadas' slow thunder.

It might sound absurd
but the chirrup of birds
wakes me with the dawn.

And I don't want to miss
the sun's first kiss
nor early morn's sweet song.
