Struggling birthday blues

Down tonight

Down tonight and that just ain’t right.
I got the you in your forties and what have you got to show for your life blues.
Down tonight and that just ain’t right.
Got the I just want to go drown in a lake blues.
Struggling with birthday blues.
I have some clues about what is making me so uptight .
Just have no clues about what to do about it.
I pray and cry.
Whine and cry ,get mad and want to die.
Hardly able to keep dry eyes most of the time .
I got the blues.
No man,no kids and hardly any money in the bank.
No really good friends to speak of.
Be careful to plan your life out well and live a good life.
If you don’t you may spend you next few birthday’s with the blues.
Oh,well here’s hoping I can drum up some hope for my life.
Seems I just can’t love right or live right either.
I know I will be alright as long as I don’t despair of all my hope.
There’s still time to really matter and get things right.
